# Privacy Policy

**Effective date: October 28, 2026**

**Last updated: October 28, 2026**

This policy explains how asMagic handles information when you use its iPhone, iPad, and Mac apps. You can contact the asMagic developer about privacy at <ddwty@163.com>.

## Camera, recordings, and sensor data

The features you choose determine which data asMagic processes. Camera features use images and, on supported devices, depth information and camera position. Tracking features derive body, hand, or face movement. Motion features use device or connected-headphone motion. Controller and robot connections handle control inputs and equipment feedback. Recording features can also use the microphone when you allow access.

asMagic uses these inputs to show previews, track movement, record the sessions you start, and communicate with the equipment or receiver software you select. Camera images and recordings can contain people, voices, rooms, and other identifying details. Review what is in view or audible before recording or sharing.

Photos, session recordings, body recordings, scans, and associated sensor files are stored in the app's local storage or a destination you select. Some recording features can save media to your photo library. These recordings are not automatically uploaded to the developer's servers or the app's CloudKit account database. Files you export, save to a cloud-synced folder, or send through another app are then handled by that destination. Device and iCloud backups, if enabled in your system settings, are controlled by Apple.

Local recordings remain until you delete them. You can use the app's recording or file controls to delete saved captures and remove exported copies from the folders, photo library, cloud storage, or other apps where you saved them. Deleting an asMagic account keeps local recordings on the device. Uninstalling the app does not remove copies you exported, saved to Photos, backed up, or sent elsewhere.

## Network connections and receivers

When you start streaming, enable a broadcast, pair a device, or connect equipment, asMagic sends the data needed for that feature to the destination you choose. Depending on the feature, this can include camera images, depth, movement, controller inputs, robot feedback, device names, network addresses, and session information. Discovery and pairing use nearby-network information to find and connect devices.

Receiver software can include asMagic on your Mac, your own programs, and compatible third-party software. Some broadcasts can be received by software that connects to the broadcast without individual pairing. Use a network you trust and stop the stream when finished. Do not assume every supported connection is encrypted or restricted to a single receiver.

A receiver may record, retain, or forward data. Its copies and subsequent use are controlled by that software and the person operating it. Stopping transmission or deleting data on the sending device does not delete receiver copies. The face tracking feature's specific sharing and retention rules follow below.

## Face Data and TrueDepth Camera

### Information processed

When you open Face and Hand Tracking and allow camera access, asMagic processes camera frames on your iPhone. On devices with a TrueDepth camera, it obtains the face's position and orientation relative to the camera, its bounds in the image, facial mesh vertices and triangle connections, and 52 facial movement coefficients. These coefficients describe movements such as blinking, eye movement, and mouth or jaw movement. The tracking data also includes a frame timestamp, image dimensions and orientation, a frame sequence number, and a randomly generated capture-session identifier.

### Purposes

asMagic uses this information to show face points over the live camera preview and to display face position, orientation, and facial movement values. If you enable Network broadcast, it also sends the derived face tracking data to connected receiver software for your own real-time tracking workflows. These are the uses of face data in this version. asMagic does not use face data to identify a person, create biometric identity profiles, infer emotional states, serve advertising, or train machine learning models.

### Network sharing and third parties

Network broadcast is off when the page starts. Turning it on sends derived face tracking data over the network to receiver software connected to your iPhone. This may include asMagic on your Mac or compatible third-party receiver software you choose to use. The face tracking broadcast does not contain camera images, your name, email address, or Apple sign-in identifier. Camera images remain on the iPhone for this feature's live processing and preview.

Receiver pairing is not required for this broadcast. A receiver that can connect to the broadcast may receive its data, so enable it only on a network you trust and turn it off when finished. asMagic does not upload face data to developer-operated servers or CloudKit, and does not provide it to advertising services, analytics providers, or data brokers. We do not sell face data.

### Storage, retention, and deletion

Face and Hand Tracking keeps recent camera frames and face tracking results temporarily in working memory for live processing and display. New frames replace older results. This feature does not create a local face recording or a persistent face database on the iPhone. Turning off Network broadcast stops further transmission. Leaving the page or moving the app to the background stops capture and transmission and clears the app's preview and displayed tracking results.

The asMagic Mac face tracking receiver keeps the latest received results for live display and clears them when reception stops or the source changes. It does not provide face recording in this version. Other receiver software may save or forward received data under its own controls and privacy practices. Copies saved by a receiver remain until you or that receiver deletes them. To remove those copies, delete them in the receiver software and any destination where they were saved; stopping the iPhone broadcast does not delete copies already received.

### Your controls

You can stop sharing at any time by turning off Network broadcast. Leave Face and Hand Tracking to stop its camera session, or revoke camera permission for asMagic in iPhone Settings. Review the privacy and storage practices of any external receiver before connecting it.

## Accounts and iCloud

If you use Sign in with Apple, asMagic receives an app-specific Apple sign-in identifier and the name and email address Apple supplies with your authorization. Your email may be an Apple private relay address. Apple does not provide your Apple Account password to asMagic.

The app stores sign-in information locally using system preferences and Keychain. It also saves your sign-in identifier, available name and email address, and login time in the signed-in iCloud user's private CloudKit database. These fields support account sign-in and profile restoration. Face tracking results, camera frames, and local capture recordings are not part of this profile record.

If you submit product feedback, asMagic sends your choices, written feedback, product information, submission time, device model, and operating system version to the app's CloudKit database. If you are signed in, it can include your sign-in identifier, display name, and email address. Feedback and tip records use the app's public CloudKit database rather than your private profile database. Access is governed by the app's CloudKit permissions. Include only information you intend to submit for product feedback.

## Purchases and subscriptions

Apple handles purchases, payment information, billing, renewals, and refunds through the App Store. asMagic checks Apple purchase records and subscription status to unlock paid features and restore access. The app does not receive your payment card details.

If you make an optional tip purchase, asMagic saves a CloudKit record containing the transaction identifier, product, purchase time, purchase environment and reason, store region, currency, locale, and device model. When you are signed in, the record includes your account identifier, name, and email. A tip made while signed out is recorded without a signed-in account identifier. These records support the tip feature and purchase history.

Deleting your asMagic account does not cancel an App Store subscription or remove Apple's transaction records. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your [Apple subscription settings](https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions).

## Support messages

If you email us, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you send. We use them to respond to your request. Send recordings or other personal information only if you intend to share them for support. Ask us through the same address if you want a support message or attachment removed, subject to any applicable legal retention requirements.

## Services, sharing, and advertising

Apple provides the system camera and tracking frameworks, Sign in with Apple, iCloud and CloudKit, and App Store purchases used by these features. Apple's processing is described in the [Apple Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). The documentation website is hosted by GitBook; visiting it is subject to [GitBook's Privacy Policy](https://policies.gitbook.com/privacy-and-security/privacy/privacy-policy).

asMagic does not include advertising or third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in this version, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. This does not prevent the receiver transfers, CloudKit storage, Apple purchases, or support communications described in this policy.

We may disclose information we actually hold when required by applicable law. We do not have access to recordings that remain only in your device storage or to copies held by your independently operated receivers.

## Retention and account deletion

Private profile and account-linked CloudKit records remain until they are deleted. In the app's account settings, choose **Delete account** and complete the confirmation. The app removes the private profile and CloudKit feedback and tip records associated with that sign-in identifier, then clears its saved sign-in credentials. The deletion needs access to the original iCloud account and a working network connection. If it is interrupted or reports an error, retry to complete it.

Signing out clears the active sign-in session and its restore identifier. A saved per-account profile can remain for a later explicit sign-in. Signing out does not delete CloudKit records. Local recordings remain available after sign-out or account deletion and can be deleted separately. Guest submissions, tips made while signed out, support correspondence, exported copies, and Apple's purchase records are not all linked to your asMagic sign-in identifier. Contact us about developer-held records that cannot be removed through account deletion, providing enough information to locate the record. Do not send your Apple Account password.

The Face Data and TrueDepth Camera section above describes face data's shorter, temporary retention in this feature. External receivers, exported files, system backups, and Apple services have their own retention and deletion controls.

## Permissions and your choices

You control camera, microphone, motion, photo library, and local-network permissions in the device's system settings. Declining or revoking a permission may stop the feature that needs it. You can stop recording and network output in the corresponding feature. Allowing camera access alone does not turn on the Face and Hand Tracking network broadcast.

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to processing, or request deletion of personal information we hold. You may withdraw permission for optional processing, and you may complain to your local data protection authority. We use information to provide the features you request, with your permission where required, to respond to support requests, and to meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use personal information to make automated decisions about your legal or similarly significant rights.

Send privacy requests to <ddwty@163.com>. We may need to verify your request before acting. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Data held only on your own device or by an independent receiver must be managed there.

## Children and other people in recordings

asMagic is not designed to collect children's personal information for a child-directed service. Parents or guardians who believe a child has submitted personal information to us can contact us to request review and deletion. When recording or streaming other people, obtain any permission required by law and avoid capturing sensitive information without their knowledge.

## Policy updates and contact

We will publish changes on this page and update its last-updated date. Review the policy when you update the app or begin using another recording or connection feature.
